Step-by-Step Instructions for Bang Bang Shrimp
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp with buttermilk, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Pour cornstarch into a shallow dish and dredge marinated shrimp in it, shaking off excess cornstarch.
  3. Heat 1 ½ inches of oil in a deep pot to 350°F over medium-high heat.
  4. Fry the shrimp in batches for about 2 minutes until golden brown, then remove with a slotted spoon.
  5. Mix together mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha in a bowl to prepare the sauce.
