Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a small bowl, soak the panko breadcrumbs in milk for about 5 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the beaten egg, mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, soaked panko, horseradish, chives, parsley, Old Bay seasoning, dried onion, salt, and pepper. Fold in lump crab gently.
  4. Season salmon filets with kosher salt, pepper, and Old Bay seasoning on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  5. Spoon crab filling onto each salmon filet, pressing gently to secure.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes until flaky and opaque.
  7. In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, add milk gradually until thickened. Stir in parmesan, salt, lemon zest, and juice.
  8. Drizzle lemon sauce over baked salmon filets and garnish with chives before serving.
