  • 1 pinch Salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Offers warm spice notes.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, a pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of milk, 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Combine with the dry ingredients in the next step.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients along with 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Stir until just combined to avoid overmixing.
  4. Fold in 1 cup of chopped apples ensuring even distribution.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Line the basket with parchment paper and lightly spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  6. Using a 1/4 cup measuring scoop, place small scoops of batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space. Air fry for 8 minutes, flip, and air fry for another 3 minutes.
  7. Transfer fritters to a wire rack to cool. Mix 1 cup of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract to make a glaze. Dip warm fritters in glaze.
