Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice chicken breasts horizontally to create thinner fillets for even cooking.
  2. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
Coating Station
  1. Set up coating station with flour mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne.
  2. Beat egg with water in another bowl, and put breadcrumbs in a third dish.
Coat Chicken
  1. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in egg mixture, then press into breadcrumbs.
Frying
  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
