- In a microwave-safe mug (at least 12 ounces), combine 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of cinnamon. Stir these dry ingredients together until evenly distributed.
- Add in 2 tablespoons of oil or melted butter and 3 tablespoons of milk to the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined, then fold in 1/4 cup of diced apple.
- Place your mug in the microwave and heat on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the mug from the microwave and allow the cake to cool for about 1 minute.
