Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by boiling 2 cups of water in a kettle or saucepan over medium heat. Once boiling, remove it from heat and add the 2 black tea bags. Let the tea steep for about 10 minutes.
- While the tea is steeping, chop the ripe mango into small pieces. In a separate saucepan, combine the diced mango with the remaining 2 cups of water. Bring this mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer for about 10 minutes.
- After simmering, remove the mango mixture from heat and allow it to cool slightly. Strain the mango puree through a fine mesh sieve directly into the pitcher with the steeped tea.
- Add 2 tablespoons of honey to the pitcher and stir well until the honey completely dissolves into the warm mixture.
- Let your Mango Iced Tea cool to room temperature, about 10-15 minutes. Fill glasses with ice made from tea or mango juice, pour the chilled mango tea over the ice and garnish with fresh mango slices.
