Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch until smooth. Add thinly sliced beef to the mixture, cover with plastic wrap, and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add marinated beef slices in batches, cooking for 1-2 minutes per side until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining oil and sauté sliced bell peppers and onions for about 3-4 minutes until they soften but remain crisp.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Return the seared beef to the skillet and pour in the broth or water, stirring to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt and pepper as needed, and cook for an additional minute before serving.
