Cooking Steps
- Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a vigorous boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, until it reaches an al dente texture. Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and immediately rinse it under cold water to halt the cooking process.
- While the spaghetti cools, prepare your colorful array of vegetables by halving the cherry tomatoes, dicing the cucumber and bell peppers, and finely chopping the red onion. Slice the black olives if using.
- In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the cooled spaghetti with all your prepared vegetables and black olives, if using. Gently toss everything together to ensure an even distribution of each ingredient.
- Pour your favorite Italian dressing over the pasta and vegetable mixture. Toss everything thoroughly until the spaghetti is well-coated with the dressing.
- Taste the mixture and adjust the flavors by adding a pinch of salt and freshly cracked pepper. If desired, sprinkle in some grated Parmesan cheese for a creamier texture.
- For the best flavor, chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
