Step-by-Step Instructions for Slow Cooker Beef Ragu
  1. Begin by finely chopping the white onions, celery, carrots, and white mushrooms. Set these vegetables aside.
  2. In the slow cooker, layer the chopped vegetables, followed by the beef chuck roast. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, minced garlic, and season with salt, dried parsley flakes, and black pepper.
  3. Pour in the almond milk, pomegranate juice, and beef broth over the assembled ingredients in the slow cooker.
  4. Using a large spoon, gently stir the mixture to evenly distribute the ingredients without breaking the beef.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and set it to low heat for 8 hours to allow the beef to become fork-tender.
  6. Once cooking time is complete, uncover the slow cooker, and using two forks, shred the beef gently right in the pot.
