  • 2 slices Hearty Artisan or Sourdough Bread
For the Butter Mixture

  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
For the Cheese Layers
  • 1 cup Cheese Blend (Havarti, Gruyere, Cheddar, Mozzarella) shredded
For the Filling
  • 4 slices Turkey Cold Cuts
  • 1 cup Lettuce shredded
  • 1/4 cup Red Onions sliced
  • 1/4 cup Banana Peppers sliced
For the Dressing
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Red Grape Juice Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine softened unsalted butter with grated Parmesan cheese and garlic powder until smooth.
  2. Spread the mixture generously on the outer sides of two slices of bread.
  3. Layer a slice of cheese on the unbuttered side of one slice of bread.
  4. Add a layer of turkey cold cuts, followed by another slice of cheese.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing outward, and press gently.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over low to medium heat.
  2. Place the sandwich in the skillet and toast for about 5-6 minutes.
  3. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 5-6 minutes.
Dressing and Assembly
  1. Mix mayonnaise, red grape juice vinegar, remaining Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.
  2. Toss lettuce, red onions, and banana peppers with the prepared dressing.
  3. Once the sandwich is golden brown, slice it in half and fill with tossed vegetables.
