  • 4 ounces turkey cold cuts can substitute with ham or plant-based alternatives
For the Veggies
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or arugula
  • 1/2 medium red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup banana peppers or bell peppers
For the Dressing
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons red grape juice vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or fresh herbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon cracked pepper

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine softened butter with grated parmesan and garlic powder until smooth. Spread this mixture on the outer sides of two slices of bread.
  2. Layer one slice of bread butter-side down with cheeses, turkey cold cuts, and more cheese. Place another slice of bread on top, butter-side facing out.
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet over low to medium-low heat for about two minutes. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, red grape juice vinegar, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and cracked pepper until combined.
  5. Combine shredded lettuce, red onions, and banana peppers in another bowl. Drizzle with dressing and mix well.
  6. Once the sandwich is golden on both sides, open it and spoon in the veggie mixture. Serve hot with your favorite side.
